Howrah Bridge- Howrah Bridge popularly known as Rabindra Setu is another main attraction of Howrah or Kolkata. It is located above the River Ganges. The marvelous work of the bridge is something that attracts the tourists. Anand Niketan Kirtishala - Established in 1961, Anand Niketan Kirtishala is a museum located at Bagnan in Howrah District. It has a rich collection of ancient terracotta figures, potsherds, potteries, temple terracotta plaques, specimens of folk art and craft, scroll paintings, old Bengali and Sanskrit manuscripts, coins, stone sculptures, bronze icons and wooden objects. Belur Math Temple- this is the major religious place in West Bengal. It is an abode of peace. The environment of the temple is surrounded by peace and tranquility. Botanical Garden- it is the place for the tree lovers or nature lovers. A place must visit by all. It has varieties of trees. The visit to Howrah is incomplete without seeing Botanical garden. It has a Great Indian Banyan tree that has the biggest canopy of the world. Santragachhi Jheel - Santragachhi Jheel is a large lake, located next to the Santragachhi railway station. This lake attracts large number of migratory birds in the winter months, particularly in December and January. Rail Museum- a museum constructed and maintained by the Railway Department. In this museum the tourists can find different models of engines of old days, railway equipments, varieties model of trains etc.
