Under the new policy, tourists who arrive in groups and cook in open spaces would be penalized. This is done to give a boost to the tourism of the state. However, after 7 months of lockdown, the temple was reopened to the public on the occasion of Navratri. On the very first day, more than 25000 people arrived at the temple to offer their prayers. Considering the excessive crowd and fear of Coronavirus, the temple has been shut until further notice. Hence, the temple will reopen for five days amid the COVID-19 outbreak.&nbsp; Only 250 people will be allowed to visit in a single day. Among other things, a covid-19 negative report is mandatory to enter the temple. Pilgrims will be required to take the test 48 hours before reaching Pamba.
