Places to Visit in Amravati
Ambadevi Temple, in the heart of Amravati city. It is believed that Shri Krishna abducted Rukmini, from this temple, and married her. Goddess Amba attracts devotees from different parts of Vidarbha. Satidham Temple Shri Bhakti Dham Temple Chikhaldara Wildlife Sanctuary is situated in the Amaravati district of Maharashtra and forms one of the popular excursions from the Amravati city. The sanctuary forms a part of the sole hill station of the Vidarbha region, characterized by beautiful lakes, serene lakes and cascading waterfalls. Wan Wildlife Sanctuary Wadali Talao, 3 km away from the Amaravati Camp on Chandur Railway Road. This was built for clean and fresh water supply to Amravati Camp. There is a small garden with a zoo here. People usually come here during weekends and enjoy boating. Melghat Tiger Reserve Melghat Tiger Reserve is situated in the Satpuda hill range, near the Chikhaldara Wildlife Sanctuary. It falls under the Chikhaldara and Dharni tehsils of Amaravati and sprawls over a wide area of approximately 1676.93 sq km.
